OUR
VISION
Transform the communication culture in schools and families to enhance the emotional well-being of children.

OUR STORY
When Matthew Kwok and Raymond Yang, co-founders of JUST FEEL, worked as teaching fellows in 2017, they witnessed how students often struggled to express their feelings and needs. During class, some students would unexpectedly burst into tears or throw their belongings in anger. However, the lack of teacher training in emotional education at the time left Matthew, Raymond, and their teaching colleagues feeling lost about how to address students' emotional needs. These students were often punished instead of being enabled to express themselves or be heard under the existing reward and punishment systems at schools.
These experiences reminded Raymond of his Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) in both his family and school, prompting him, along with Matthew and a father who valued emotional education, Anthony Ngai, to critically examine how school systems and cultures impact students’ emotional well-being. They realised the importance of empowering teachers and parents and creating an environment where students could safely express their feelings and needs.
In 2018, Matthew, Raymond, and Anthony co-founded JUST FEEL, with a mission to empower educators and parents, transform communication cultures in schools and families, and promote the emotional well-being of students.
